Multiple Burglaries in Jackson County

On Thursday, June 21, 2012, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to approximately four burglaries that are believed to be related.  Three of these burglaries were located on Old U.S. Road north of Marianna and the fourth was on Hwy 162 just west of Old U.S. Road.  The burglaries are believed to have occurred between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  The suspects made entry into the residence by forcing open the rear doors to the houses.  Items taken from the residences include firearms, jewelry and electronic items.  Anyone that may have observed suspicious activity or vehicles in these areas is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at 482-9664 or Crimestoppers at 526-5000.

 

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office would also like to encourage the citizens of Jackson County to take time to document the make, model and serial number of valuable items kept within your home.  Photographs of these items are also beneficial, not only to assist law enforcement officials to identify stolen items, but for filing any insurance claims as well.
