Murder Arrest In Oxnard California In Troy Murder

TROY:   Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas has confirmed his office received a tip that 33 year old Suroy Manquel Wheeler was on Oxnard California.

Through a combined effort of Pike County Sheriff Department and Troy Police Department, in cooperation with law in California, Wheeler was apprehended at the bus station in Oxnard California.

On Saturday Troy Police found a 29 year old female, Melisssa Shipman, shot to death with a shotgun. Through investigation a suspect was identified and arrest warrants for murder were issued. A bond of $ 100,000.00 was set. A national broadcast was issued for the Wheeler suspect.

Through extradition process Wheeler will be returned to Pike County where he will stand trial for murder.
