Murder In Henry County--Updated With Victim's Name

HENRY COUNTY: Henry County Sheriff Investigator Steve Culbreth and members f the Henry County Sheriff Department - Abbeville Police Joint investigative units are working a murder which occured in Henry County.
A 36 year old black male was presented to the emergency department at Medical Center - Eufaula last evening. The person was transported y private auto to the emergency room. The patient was presented with stab wounds. The person died.
Barbour County Coroner Chip Chapman was notified of the death. When Coroner Chapman determined the chain of events occured in Henry County, Coroner Chapman turned the death over to Henry County Coroner Derek Wright and members of Henry County Sheriff Department.
The case is under investigation. The incident is reported to have occured on Henry County Road 297.
The person stabbed to death has been identified as Jamar Cooke, age 36.
