Murder Suspect Sought after Decatur Man Shot Dead during Robbery

A shooting death in Decatur Tuesday evening is being investigated as a capital murder case.
Christopher Swoopes (Decatur Police Department) Decatur police responded to shooting call at a home in the 400 block of 6th Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. They found a man's body lying in the doorway. Police determined he was killed by a gunshot.
The victim was identified as Saul Ocampo.
Investigators say they discovered Ocampo was shot during a robbery. They identified the suspect as Christopher Andre Swoopes, 22.
Swoopes fled the scene. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
