ALABAMA SENATE DISTRICT 29: This week Republican Fred Hamic of Geneva County had to ditch one of his "fellow" Republicans.
Well, Fred has always been a Republican. But the BOB RILEY/MIKE HUBBARD/ DEL MARSH hand controlled candidate, Melinda McClendon, was ditching the issue "ol" Fred wanted to allow the people of Geneva County to vote on.
Here it is - Fred and the Republican's of Geneva County asked State Representative Donnie Cheesten, a Republican, to introduce local legislation for Geneva County. The legislation would allow the people of Geneva County to vote UP or DOWN a tax increase for funding a new Geneva County Jail.
As a result of the request, the issue passed with Cheesten and Senator Harri Smith saying - OKAY - we are not saying vote UP or DOWN the tax increase, we are only saying they will allow the voters of Geneva County to make a decision.
Hey, that is what the leadership wanted. And that is reasonable and acceptable.
Well, in an effort to win the Alabama Senate District 29 race, McClendon apparently allowed those who control her, Riley/Hubbard/Marsh to do a mail out in Geneva County. It alleges that Senator Smith passed a tax increase on the people of Geneva County.
And that is not truth and apparently a Riley/Hubbard/Marsh distortion of the true and correct facts.
But, with Riley/Hubbard/Marsh trying to protect their buttocks from indictment from the Lee County Grand Jury, they have been unable to kick McClendon campaign off the ground. The campaign continues to struggle.
And Riley/Hubbard/Marsh want to control - control - control the Alabama Senate. And with Senator Smith, they can not control her vote to further their actions against the people of the State of Alabama.
And they are frustrated and willing to distort the facts to get control.
They are custom to control and they are upset. As November 7 is approaching, and the realization the voters of this part of Alabama see their game, the tactics to win go below the gutter!
Thus, they have caused the long time Republican, Fred Hamic, to be forced to make a decision. Give him more money so something can be constructed with his name on the building - or another blasted Republican Montgomery puppet. Hammic apparently decided for his name on the side of the building!
That is - build a new Geneva County Jail so there is a plaque on the building - with Fred's name on it!
