Dothan, AL, April 22, 2016– This is the 10th Annual interdenominational community wide NDP prayer gathering hosted by the Dothan Ministerial Association and First Baptist Church Dothan. We will gather from 6-630 for coffee, and will begin prayer at 6:30AM at the Omni Field directly across from First Baptist Church, 300 W Main Street in Dothan.
Our theme for 2016 is Wake Up America, emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of Fathers in reverence for His Holy Name. To further highlight our theme, we’ve chosen Isaiah 58:1a as our Scripture for this year: “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.
” Community leaders will lead in prayer for our nation and its leaders, our community and its local public officials, our local pastors, and for the people of God, that we should stand untied as one against our culture at large. In the event of rain, FBC has opened the doors of the Chapel, directly across from the field. Some Participants will include City Manager Mike West, Dothan Police Chief Steve Parish, Dr. Johnny Fain, George Ellison, Chaplain Wilie Parker, Lyle Peluso, Deborah Martin Irby, Jason Duren, Dr. Jerry Grandstaff, and Russell Dean of Faith Radio.
A second venue has been added this year, Ridgecrest Baptist Church Dothan will open it’s doors of the Sanctuary at Noon time, Pastor Bob Sanders, Ray Jones, Bobby Marks and Pastor Ray Malone will be leading in prayer. Ridgecrest is located at 1231 Fortner St, Dothan, AL 36301
