New Downtown Dothan Mural to be Dedicated

The dedication of the twenty-first mural in Downtown Dothan will take place on Wednesday, October 14th at 11:00 a.m. at 308 North Foster Street. This music-themed mural focuses on country musicians with Wiregrass connections, including Hank Williams, Hank Williams, Jr., Audrey Williams, Dixie Hatfield, Don Helms, Lamar Morris, Curly Walker, George Jones, Lew Childree, Stonewall Jackson, Jimmy Watford, Billy Dean, Daryl Singletary, Charlie Monk, Boudreaux Bryant, and Ray Kirkland. Wes Hardin painted the mural. This is the second of three music themed murals. The third will feature Gospel and Jazz as well as other musicians who have made significant contributions to the music industry and have roots in the Wiregrass.
