Newton Man Charged with Second Degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument

On February 6, 2014 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest, following a recent theft investigation.
Investigators say Clint Kelly came into possession of a stolen bank check, which had the victims signature forged on it and cashed the check at a local financial institution. Investigators identified Kelly as the suspect after taking possession of documents left behind during the incident.
Clint Kelly has been arrested and charged with second degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, bringing this case to a close.
- Clint Lashawn Kelly, black male, 23 years of age, of Newton, Alabama was arrested and charged with second degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. A bond amount has been set at $2,500.00. All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
