Newton Men Arrested for Possesion of Meth

On October 20, 2009 the Houston County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Dothan Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration (D.E.A.) and the Alcohol Beverage Control (A.B.C.) executed a search warrant at 2221 South State Hwy. 231 Newton, Ala.

The search warrant was the result of an on-going investigation and resulted in recovery of 20 grams of methamphetamine (ice), with a street value of $2,000.00, also recovered was a 7.62 caliber SKS assault rifle and a 22 caliber rifle.

Thomas Keith Hatcher a 42 year old male of Newton, Ala. was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) with a bond of $2,500.00 and Sonny Todd Wesson a 39 year old male of Newton, Ala. was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) with a bond of $15,000.00.
