No Coordinator For Me

DOTHAN – HOUSTON COUNTY:       Recently Dothan – Houston County E 911 started advertising for Coordinator. The advertising ends on December 31.

I was recently asked was I going to apply. My first answer was “yes”.

I wanted to be a part of the solutions of Dothan – Houston County E 911. While serving on the board I have been able to be a part of solutions to some problems.

However after a series of events recently, I have decided that I will not apply for the Coordinator position. I will remain on the Advisory Committee as long as the Volunteer EMS wants me as their representative.

My passion is emergency service. I love the emergency service and making sure the people of Dothan – Houston County and guests thereof get better than the best service.

As a member of the Advisory Committee, I have been able to solve some major issues which helps the citizens of Dothan – Houston County and the guests thereof.

As Coordinator, I thought I could help with some of the solutions. However, I have come to realize my best place of service is on the Advisory Committee and in the news business.

So I am not applying for E 911 Coordinator.

I am in the news business and bail bonding business. I have zero desire to be a part of the government.
