It has been going around Facebook that I was arrested for shooting the finger to someone in Henry County.


We have a Rickey Stokes news fan page on Facebook.


Someone has created another fan page. On that page that person has circulated that Rickey Stokes  has been arrested. 


First of all there have been no recent arrest of Rickey Stokes. Some would like to!


The arrest  which has been circulating on Facebook was an arrest of sometime last year. A business competitors wife obtaiined warrants  which accused Rickey Stokes of giving her the finger.  The offense was alleged to have occurred in Henry County Alabama 


 The case was nol prossed  in Henry County District Court. The accusations were false.  


I was in Houston County sitting before Tim Pitchford at a Houston County school board meeting when I was suppose to have committed the offense. I was also sitting next to Jim Cook of the Dothan Eagle  while in the meeting.


 In addition, at the time this business competitor wife said I was in Henry County, I was actually hitting off the cell phone towers on the southside of Dothan.  


I had lengthy conversations with Houston County commission Chairman Mark Culver and my brother-in-law while hitting off the southside Dothan cell phone towers. 


 I feel honored that someone has created a false Facebook on me and circulating such stories. I have requested Facebook to investigate the creator  of this page and their IP address. 


 I must be on to something for someone to go to such great lengths.


 When you are a public figure you are a target.
