Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is Investigating Threatening Emails

Investigators have made contact with a person of interest in connection with an email sent to several school personnel and media outlets threatening harm to Okaloosa school students. That individual is currently being interviewed. Investigators worked through the night to try to track down the source of the menacing threat, assisted by the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.


Deputies also conducted physical checks overnight at area schools as well. Along with our School Resource Officers, extra patrols are taking place at our schools today. The OCSO also coordinated with information with the Superintendent of Schools and School District to keep them abreast of developments.
