One Dead in Montgomery Apartment Fire

Montgomery Fire Department officials are investigating a fatal fire that happened at an apartment complex Thursday morning.
According to Sergeant Omori Whiting, the fire occurred in the 2200 block of East South Boulevard. That is the location of the Jackson Square Apartment complex. One person died as a result of the fire but their identity has not been released.
Numerous fire personnel responded to the scene. Viewer video shows heavy smoke billowing from one of the buildings at the apartment complex and several residents evacuating.
