One Injured and Suspect in Custody in Montgomery shooting

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -


One person was injured and another was taken into custody after a shooting in Montgomery Tuesday afternoon, according to the Montgomery Police Department.


Sgt. Denise Barnes with MPD says officers were called to the 600 block of Winnie Street, which is just south of Interstate 85 off S. Decatur Street. 


A man was transported to a Montgomery hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.


One person is in custody and police say charges are pending.
