One Vehicle Rollover On Highway 51

Late Saturday evening, I was coming around a sharp curve on Alabama State Highway 51 just south of Coffee County Road 139. When I came around the curve there was a white truck in the middle of the road. I sat there thinking are you ever going to get out of the way, then I looked to my right and there was a small passenger car overturned. I immediately pulled over to see about them and make sure everyone was ok. I called 911, which took me to Enterprise. I told the dispatcher there was a female patient complaining of back pain and the driver denied injury. She then asked me, so I need to get rescue enroute??? I said yes. The 911 dispatcher then says, ok sir Enteprise Fire and Enterprise Rescue is enroute. I told her this was not in Enterprise Fire Department’s jurisdiction, it was Five Star Volunteer Fire Department. She assured me it wasn’t. We waited for Enterprise Fire to arrive after traveling 15 miles to get to the scene. Enterprise Police were also dispatched to the crash. The driver stated that he had slightly ran off the road and over-corrected, causing the vehicle to go into the tree line and then overturning. When Enterprise Fire and Enterprise Rescue left the scene, ten minutes later Five Star Volunteer Fire Department shows up on scene. I advised them Enterprise Fire and Rescue had already come and gone. So they got back in the vehicle and left. Enterprise Fire Department, Enterprise Rescue, Five Star Volunteer Fire Department, Enterprise Police Department, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, and Alabama State Trooper responded to the scene. 1 Coffee County Deputy stayed on scene until an Alabama State Trooper arrived on scene.
