Ozark Officer Puts Out Distress Call

OZARK:  11:13 AM.  A few minutes ago a Ozark Police Officer issued a distress call that assistance was needed.


Multiple Ozark Police and Dale County Sheriff Deputies responded to the scene.


The Ozark Officer was dealing with a male subject who appeared to be a person with a mental issue. The subject was armed with a stick and was threatening the officer.


The dual agency response was quick and the subject was taken into custody and no officer or suspect was injured.


The incident took place on Andrews Avenue in Ozark.
