Ozark Women Charged with First Degree Robbery

On July 15, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to an attempted gas drive off which was upgraded to a robbery after the clerk was struck by the fleeing vehicle. Investigators say the incident occurred at Murphy Oil USA, 4454 Montgomery Highway. According to the employee, she attempted to make contact with the driver but the vehicle fled and in the process the vehicles’ mirror struck the employee causing moderate injuries. Police say they have now identified and arrested the suspect, Leandra Young, bringing the case to a close.

 

 

·        Leandra Young, black female, 26 years of age, of Ozark, Alabama was arrested and charged with First Degree Robbery with a $10,000 bond.
