Panama City Beach's Spring Break is "DEAD"' as Beach Drinking Ban Drives Partiers Away

Reports of the death of Panama City Beach's famed Spring Break have been only slightly exaggerated.  


So far, Spring Break 2016 has proven to be a far tamer and less profitable beast than the crime-ridden bacchanalia that shocked the nation in March 2015.


Massive beachfront clubs that were regularly packed to bursting last year are struggling to attract more than a few hundred partiers per night. Hotel rooms and condos are going vacant in their busiest season despite slashing rates by as much as half, restaurants are laying off servers, and long stretches of prime beach are desolate as college students have turned elsewhere for the annual festivities.
