Timothy A. Busby is a Paramedic that responded to a traffic crash that had just ocurred prior to Busby being injured. Busby was standing on the passenger's side of an ambulance attempting to remove a backboard from the ambulance. The ambulance was parked in the inside turn lane facing South. A 2003 Toyota Tundra was traveling South on State Road 85 in the inside through lane. Due to the prior traffic crash, traffic was moving very slow. Busby reached inside the ambulance and removed a backboard. As Busby removed the backboard, it struck the left side of the Toyota Tundra and the board spun in his hands. As the backboard traveled backwards, Busby's arm got caught in the strap attached to the backboard. This action caused his right arm to twist, wrenching his right elbow. There was no noticeabe damage to the Tundra.
Paramedic Busby was transported to North Okaloosa Medical Center for minor injuries.
