Helping another got a little too close for comfort Wednesday morning in Opp. At approximately 5:47 a.m., Opp Police patrol officers responded to a request from a local ambulance company for assistance in the area of the intersection of Main Street and Covington Avenue.
Upon arrival, Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said, officers learned that a patient that was being transported from Florala to Mizell Memorial Hospital produced a knife and stabbed a female ambulance crew member.
