Pedestrian Struck By Own Vehicle

DOTHAN: Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Police and Dothan Fire to South Oates and Carroll Street to where a female had been struck by a motor vehicle.
Dothan Police Officer Chris Barbaree and Houston County Sheriff Lt. James Ivey were two of the first officers on the scene.
A female was found laying on the ground under the driver’s door of here vehicle. Apparently the car went to back up as she was in the door way causing her to be struck by the driver door and fall to the ground. Someone in the parking lot was able to get the car stopped.
Dothan Fire Engine 1 ( Central ) and Pilcher’s Ambulance responded to the scene.
The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
