(DOTHAN) On February 22, the Southeast Alabama Photography and Adventure Club (SEAPAC) will host a basic photography workshop at Landmark Park. The goal of the workshop is to help participants acquire basic photographic knowledge that will improve everyday images.

Registration will take place at 9:00 a.m. The workshop will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. Workshop leaders will show a brief powerpoint presentation and then participants will take their cameras outside and take pictures. The pictures will then be loaded onto a computer and viewed by the class. The objectives of the workshop are to identify the settings on the camera's mode dial, list three essential elements of an acceptable photograph and to identify the basic elements of composition.

The cost for the workshop is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Space is limited to 20 students ages 12 and older. Participants should bring their own camera, a clean media card, camera manual, extra batteries, a snack and drink.

Landmark Park is a 135-acre historical and natural science park located on U.S. Highway 431 North in Dothan, Ala. For more information and to pre-register for the program, contact the park at 334-794-3452.
