Blue Springs, Ala. – July 17 &18, 2015 – The Friends of Blue Springs State Park will be sponsoring a Bluegrass/Gospel jam session in the park on July 17 & 18, 2015. Musicians will be playing in the park from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. each night. For this special event, admission will be $5 per vehicle. Blue Springs State Park is located on Highway 10 between Clio and Abbeville.
The jam sessions will feature performers such as the Jordan Family from Atlanta (Fri. night only), the Benton Brothers from Troy, the Henderson Connection, and others. Local artists are welcome to bring their instruments and jam. All visitors can bring their lawn chairs and sit enjoying an evening of wonderful music under the stars.
“We invite everyone to come enjoy some great music, but also help support the park,” says Gloria Peters, manager of Blue Springs State Park.
The Friends of Blue Springs State Park is a citizen support group that works to help protect, preserve, support, and improve the park by fostering greater community support and raising additional resources for the park.
