DOTHAN:   In Houston County in areas of Houston County Pilcher's Ambulance is the primary responding ambulance service. This morning the structure fire on Gene Terry Road Pilcher's Ambulance was the primary medical unit to responding medical unit.

Often times the ambulance crews jump in and assist the fireman in fighting the fire. This morning the Pilcher's Ambulance crew assisted the multiple volunteer fireman in working to save the structure.

Following the fire the ambulance crew briefed Pilcher's Joey and Debbie Pilcher. They reported to them the family and the loss of everything they had. In discussion it was decided that Joey and Debbie Pilcher and the entire Pilcher's crew wanted to help.

Pilcher's Ambulance corporately purchased a $ 1,000.00 gift card from Walmart and presented it this afternoon to the family. Rather than try to buy something they felt it was best to make it possible for the family to buy what was needed.

Others wishing to donate please call 334-671-0798. This is the mother of the family which was affected. There are four children and two adults who have been left with only the clothes on their backs.

Remember, Christmas is a time to give and not to receive. Christmas is also a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who later died on the cross for each of our sins.
