DOTHAN:   About 65 people applied for Dothan Police Chief. Those applications were narrowed down to four which were interviewed on Tuesday.

One of those applicants is the former Police Chief of Terrell Police Service in Texas. His name is Todd Miller.

Miller was terminated from Terrell Police Service in Texas according to a October 28, 2008 news article.  The article quotes the City Manager of Terrell Texas as “Terrell needs law enforcement leadership with effective results,” City Manager Torry Edwards said in response to Miller’s departure.

The article says According to a City Hall spokesperson, Miller will either resign or be terminated today amid mounting concerns about his ability to meet the expectations of city leaders.

There was also controversy over the crime numbers in Terrell Texas under Miller’s leadership.
