Possible Severe Weather Wednesday

A sharp cold front will move across the region during the day on Wednesday. Strong winds in the lower and middle levels of the atmosphere will combine with a relatively warm and moist air mass at the surface, which should allow for the development of a line of showers and thunderstorms. Depending on how much instability can develop ahead of the front, this could support some severe thunderstorms with chances of damaging winds and possibly a tornado or two during the day on Wednesday into Wednesday evening.  The possibility of seeing a severe thunderstorm is a bit higher over our AL and FL Panhandle counties, but cannot be ruled out for any county Wednesday and into Wednesday night.
