HOUSTON COUNTY:    To the Houston County Commission - FIGHT THE FIGHT!

Donald Valenza has survived 4 Houston County Sheriff's. The reason being, Donald Valenza is a law enforcement officer and not a politician.

Sheriff Valenza put the stickers on the Sheriff Department patrol vehicles as a reminder to the department of why they are a law enforcement officer. The stickers had zero political reasons in Donald Valenza's mind.

If you know Donald, he worries about things. He has recently been on the streets at 3 AM diligently working cases because of the seriousness of the case. We will not discuss the case because of on-going activities.

But the meaning behind the sticker:

A Houston County Correctional Officer was killed, off duty, in a motor vehicle accident.

A Houston County Sheriff Deputies husband, who was also a law enforcement officer, was killed, off duty, in a motor vehicle accident.

In Donald Valenza's some 35 years with Houston County, two deputies have taken their lives.

In 35 years Donald Valenza has worked many cases to include many suicides from stress.

So he wanted a reminder.

Then comes a 42 cent letter from out of town people with demands the sticker be removed from Houston County cars. The insurance carriers and Houston County Commission directed Sheriff Valenza to remove the stickers or the legal bills are those of Sheriff Valenza personally.

TO THE HOUSTON COUNTY COMMISSION AND CITIZENS

First, if you were in Church on Sunday, then the time has come for us to FIGHT.

Do we want to hear, "well done thy good and faithful servant" or "depart from me I never knew you"?

I urge the Houston County Commission to pass a one cent sales tax. Houston County needs the money, but more importantly, place the stickers back on the patrol vehicles of the Houston County Sheriff Department, and tell these people, we will see you in court.

The time has come for every person that was in church on Sunday, to ban together and say...we have had enough.

Politicians pass taxes for waste under the excuse you need the money to provide services. I say, for once in your political career, step up to the plate, get the revenue, and tell them bring it on.

Because I for one do not want to hear the words, depart from me I never knew you because I was not willing to acknowledge and fight.

FEDERAL JUDGES

They put their pants on just like you and I. If everyone in church on Sunday would for once stand up, band together and tell them NO. Guess what would happen.

But everyone of us, stick our head in the sand..
