Rape Case Moves Forward After Judge Tosses Juror From Panel

Testimony is expected to begin Wednesday morning in the case of a man accused of sexually assaulting two Dothan women in 2006.  Mark Anthony Beecham, 25, is on trial this week for one of the alleged attacks and is expected to be tried in connection with the other later this year.

The proceedings have been delayed because of pretrial motions and unexpected developments.  A juror was removed from the panel Tuesday after making some startling statements. 

Meanwhile, the defense chose not to make opening statements.
