Arrestee: Frank Allen White Jr. B/M 28 years of age

Charges: Burglary w/ Person Battered, Child Abuse, Aggravated Battery (Domestic Violence), Battery on a L.E.O.  (2 counts), Resisting Office w/ Violence (2 counts), False Imprisonment, Petit Theft


 On 09, July 2013, officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to a call for service at St. Luke’s Church located on Clay Street in Marianna Florida in reference to a physical altercation.  While officers were in route to the scene they received information that the suspect left driving a burgundy Ford heading northward on Orange Street.  Responding officers observed the described vehicle traveling on Old Cottondale Road and conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle.  Officers identified the driver as Frank Allen White Jr.  Other officers continued to St. Luke’s Church to gather information regarding the situation.  As officers conducted the investigation it was discovered that White had a physical altercation with his child’s mother.  After receiving information officers attempted to arrest White who shoved and kicked the arresting officers.  White was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Jail Facility where he will await first appearance.

Arrestee: Jermaine Laron Gray  B/M  30 YOA
Birmingham, AL.
Charges: Felon in Possession of a Firearm


    On 07/09/2013 at approx. 7:37 a.m. Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a white Dodge SUV for the infractions of speeding and no license plate on the vehicle. During the traffic stop officers obtained consent to search the vehicle, upon searching officers recovered two loaded semi-automatic handguns form the vehicle. Officers learned that the passenger of the vehicle Jermaine Laron Gray was a convicted Felon and officers were able to determine that the two firearms belonged to Gray. Gray was placed under arrest for being a convicted felon and being in possession of two firearms. Gray was transported to the Marianna Police Department for processing and later taken to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

Arrestee: Jonathon Baker       29 YOA

Charges: Possession of Concealed Weapon by Convicted Felon
Possession of Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 Counts)
               


            On June 10, 2013 at approximately 2329 hours Officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to 3008 Jefferson Street, Tom Thumb #55, in reference to a suspicious person who had a knife on him and was acting strange. Officers arrived and made contact with the subject identified as Jonathon Baker who immediately became a threat to Officers by attempting to place his hands into his pockets after several commands not to do so. Baker was ordered to place his hands onto the hood of a patrol vehicle and while attempting to do so admitted to Officers he had a knife on his person and attempted to reach for it behind his back. Baker was detained by Officers without further incident. It was learned Baker was a convicted felon in possession of a concealed weapons and was placed under arrest.


            Officers also found an estimated 0.5 grams of methamphetamine on Baker’s person, and various drug paraphernalia items to include a hypodermic needle. These findings led to additional charges against Baker, who was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
