I received this email yesterday about the fire that took place at the Norhtside Post Office:
"In life today, we never know what God has waiting around the corner for us. We might have job security one day and not the next, or an illness might take over our lives and income.
On July the 7th at 2PM at the Northside Post Office, my car caught fire and burned. The fire burned the front of the post office and the car beside mine. After the shock, I told the owner of the other car that I had full coverage insurance. They would pay for her to get another car. My security of having insurance to protect us was short lived. I found out a few days later that my insurance would not pay for the damages to the post office or her car. I was horrified. At that point I started working on trying to get this single mom of 3 children, new to the area, and without a job, another way of transportation. One of her children is autistic which makes things a little harder to handle without transportation.
I have set up a fundraiser to help her. Donations can be made at Friend Bank on the Ross Clark Circle and 84. The account name is Post Office Fire. Also, a facebook page named “Northside Post Office Fire” for anyone wishing to donate using Pay Pal or credit Card has been created. Once on the facebook page, click on the picture of the 2 burned vans. This will take you to the page YouCaring.net in which you can donate.
My family has lived in Dothan for 27 years, and we know how wonderful the people in the wiregrass area are. Let us all show this new family what a great community we have.
Thank you and God bless you for any amount that you feel led to give."
That was an email from Ms. Debra. Please help her help the young lady who was affected by this accidental fire.
