The First Annual Angel Of Hope Statue Candlelight Vigil to remember all the children who are no longer with us will be held on December 6th at 7pm. We invite all parents and guardians who have lost a child to gather with family, friends and loved ones to remember the children that they love and miss.
We are honored to have Brother Paul Cowley , Retired Hospice Chaplain , and the Friends Choir from Dothan Leisure Services attend the vigil this coming Tuesday along with Russell Johnson and Melissa Harvey, both are parents who have lost a child, who will speak on their own personal journey of finding hope and healing.
Jane Saliba will read aloud her beautiful poem A Band Of Angels.
All attendees will be asked to light a candle as they reflect and remember their loved ones. At the close of the Vigil the Friends Choir will invite everyone to sing Silent Night and finally all will be invited to leave a white flower at the base of the statue and may come up to the podium to announce the childs name the flower is in memory of. ( Candles and Flowers will be provided)
The ceremony will take place rain or shine and all are invited.
Please let any parent that you know who has lost a child that the Angel of Hope Statue is for them to have a place to come to for comfort and healing by knowing that their child will not be forgotten.
