DOTHAN:   Dothan 911 Center has dispatched Dothan Fire Engine 8 ( Highlands ) to  102 Fox Valley to reports of a residence where there has been a lightning strike.

Dothan Fire Engine 8 reports no flames visible to a single story residence. Engine 8 could give much details due to visibility from the rain. Dothan Engine 3 ( Westgate ) is on stand by at a fire hydrant awaiting update from Engine 8 as to the status.

On the call to 911 reports were smoke odor and no flames.

If there is a change we will update.

UPDATED @ 9:44 PM

Dothan Fire Engine 8 has returned all fire engines back to service. Engine 8 is remaining on the scene for a few more minutes. Lightning ran into the residence and tripped some breakers and there was no fire.

As I was updating Dothan Fire Engine 8 has returned to service and left the scene.
