Requirements To Purchase License Plates in Dale County and Elimination of $ 2.00 Mail In Fee

DALE COUNTY:   Dale County Revenue Commissioner Eleanor Outlaw has issued an outline based on the requirements of the State of Alabama about what persons need in order to purchase their car license plates.

Commissioner Outlaw does not want people to show up and not have the paperwork which the State of Alabama requires.

Commissioner Outlaw and members of the Dale County Commission have also looked at ways to cut down on the persons standing in line to make purchases for their car license. In the past, person who mailed in their information to renew the license plates were required to add a $ 2.00 handling fee.

Tonight members of the Dale County Commission voted to eliminate the additional $ 2.00 fee for mail in renewals. The Commission under the leadershp of Chairman Blakenship voted to eliminate the $ 2.00 mail in fee.

Chairman Blakenship asked for this information to be distributed to the people of Dale County. Chairman Blakenship and Revenue Commissioner Outlaw wants to encourage people which are renewing their license plates to take advantage of the mail in service available.

Also, Revenue COmmissioner Outlaw said if any questions about what is needed to call the Revenue Commissioner's Office at 334-774-2226.
