BALDWIN COUNTY:  Retired Dothan Police Lt. Stan Devane was sworn in as Police Chief in Elberta Alabama. This now makes the second former Dothan - Houston County law enforcement officers, and life long residents of Houston County, to become Police Chief's of communities in Baldwin County.

Eddie Ingram serves as Chief of Police in Summerdale Alabama. Ingram worked with Houston County Sheriff Department under Sheriff Lamar Hadden and Sheriff Lamar Glover. Ingram also served as Assistant Police Chief in Ashford Alabama.

An interesting trivia connection - Stan's dad, Jesse Devane served as Houston County Coroner. Following Devane Eddie's dad, Frankie Ingram, served as Houston County Coroner.
