Rickey Stokes Found GUILTY In Dothan Muncipal Court

DOTHAN:    The Acting Dothan Municipal Court Judge from Trussville Alabama, who was selected by the City of Dothan to hear the two cases of Unlawful Imprisonment against me has ruled in the two cases.

The Judge found me GUILTY ( Surprise ) and sentenced be to serve 10 days in the Dothan City Jail. The Judge ordered me to immediate custody ( surprise ) of the Dothan Police Department.

Immediately I posted two $ 500 appeal bonds appealing the convictions from the City of Dothan hand picked judge to a jury of 12 men and women.

If you saw my article I wrote Friday, or comments I made to WDHN prior to the trial, I made it clear that I did not expect a NOT GUILTY. That Municipal Court IS NOT about truth and justice. It is about revenue.

In Municipal Court, there is no court reporter. I hired a court reporter at my own expense to take the testimony under penalties of perjury. The transcripts belong to me.

The City of Dothan hand picked Judge from Trussville did make a comment that I disrespected these two gentleman by handcuffing them to the door. When you are before a Judge you can not say what you want and it is a one sided conversation.

However, I call the judge a LIAR who has no idea of what he was saying. I take strong issue with his comments.

I have not disrespected the defendants, but rather helped them with their issue.

There is a lot I would like to explain and will on my day before 12 men and women. But I help people with their issues. This has taught me a lesson, RECORD even when you are trying to help someone.

In this issue, again the messenger is the issue and the message gets lost. There were several there, like Craig and Critt Snellgrove, that were excited to see me found guilty. In fact, there were several there very excited awaiting to see me in handcuffs. A sight they did not get to see!

Court was from 1:30 PM until after 5:00 PM.

The case is appealed to a Houston County Jury of 12 men and women sometime in the future. The appeal means a trial de nevo - that the trial with the City of Dothan did not happen and we start over with a jury trial.

The City of Dothan offered pre-trial diversion in my paying money and the case being dismissed. I declined the offer because I am not guilty.
