Samson, AL: A few weeks ago I posted a story involving a structure fire on Ewing Street in Samson. The house was a total loss in the fire from a few weeks ago. This morning, Samson Fire was dispatched to the same structure, this time, fully involved again (what was left of it). It appears the clean up crew that is getting rid of the burnt debris set the house on fire this afternoon to try to get rid of some of the excess debris. The fire caught back up and was close to the residence next door. Samson Fire arrived and quickly extinguished the fire before it damaged the house next door. All Samson Units have returned back to service and ready for another call. Maybe not back to the same residence again.
Samson Police Officers Jeff Moring, Chris Miranda, and Reserve Officer Cory Dean also responded to the structure fire, but had to leave to serve and protect the public when the got a call about a reckless driver coming from Geneva to Samson.
