Samuel Garrison Johnson, age 17, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015.



Born November 23, 1998 in Dothan to Eddie and Jill McNeal Johnson, Sam loved helping people. He enjoyed working on trucks and spent many hours helping those with truck problems. Sam was a member of the Edgewood Golf Team and was a member of 2 State Championship Football Teams with Edgewood Academy. Sam loved his friends and loved his family.



Survivors include his father, Eddie Dwayne Johnson, Gordon; his mother, Melissa Jill Johnson, Wetumpka; his brother, Eddie “Gabby” Johnson, II, Wetumpka; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Mary McNeal, Pansey; his paternal grandparents, Roy and Peggy Johnson, Gordon; uncles and aunts, Joe and Gina McNeal, Ron and April Johnson, and Brian and Sonya Johnson; cousins, Danielle and Brandon Womack, Tori McNeal, Trey and Ginny McNeal, Coby McNeal, Jace Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Katie Johnson, Keith Johnson, Jon Johnson, and Trevor Johnson; numerous relatives and close friends.



The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Monday, November 30, 2015 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.



Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at New Freedom Church in Webb with Rev. Scott Aman, Rev. Larry Adams, and Rev. Mike Mazingo officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Gordon with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


Active pallbearers will be Keith Johnson, Jon Johnson, Trevor Johnson, Andrew Benton, Colton Jernigan, and Justin Hatcher.


Honorary pallbearers will be the Edgewood Academy Football Team and the Edgewood Academy Golf Team.
