Houston County Sheriff's Office has received several phone call this week in reference to a male who identifies himself as Deputy Thomas Johnson.

The individual states he has a summons for you because you failed to appear in a Judges court room for jury duty.

 

He tells you this matter can be taken care of if you purchase green dot cards and give him the code / account number or other mean of transferring funds to him.

 

The phone number he has been calling from is (334) 212-1066

 

Houston County Sheriff's Office wants the citizens to know this is a scam.

 

Law enforcement does not contact you by phone for you missing jury duty.

 

Under the order of the Judge Law Enforcement will make contact with you in person.

 

Please be aware there are many scams going on and they target the elderly and females because they think they can bully / scar them into sending or accessing information releasing funds to them
