Search for the Barbour County Man Continues

Barbour County Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw reported that the search for Willie Pugh is continuing at this time. The search is concentrated in the Doster Community in south Barbour County. Mr. Pugh was last heard from on Saturday night January 14, 2012 between 7:15 and 7:30. Mr. Pugh's vehicle was located in Hwy 51 south behind an abandoned mobile home Sunday morning. Sheriff Upshaw stated that foul play is suspected due to the clothes and shoes that Mr. Pugh was wearing Saturday night, were located inside his vehicle and were blood stained.
Barbour County Investigator, Lt. David Morris, who is the lead investigator in the case stated that tips are coming in from the public and that each one is followed up on. Lt. Morris ask that the public continue to call in any and all information that they may have, no matter how insignificant the information may seem. That one tip may be what helps to locate Mr. Pugh. Sheriff Upshaw thanks the public for their willingness to get involved in the effort to located Mr. Pugh.
Lt. Morris stated that he had requested assistance from that the Barbour County Search and Rescue team. They responded to the area on Tuesday. Also assisting in the search are members of the Elamville Fire Department, Clio Fire Department, Louisville Fire Department, Clayton Fire Department, Clio Police Department and the Alabama Bureau Of Investigation, Dale County Sheriff's Office, the tracking team from Ventress Prison, Barbour County EMA, as well as family members and friends of the victim and citizens. Morris said that some evidence has been located in a wooded area, but refused to identify what at this time, for fear of compromising the investigation.
Update:
The search continued today for the missing Barbour County Man, Regional Search and Rescue out of Dothan is on there second day of searching. We understand Liberty County Search and Rescue and Wausau Search and Rescue Unit (Both out of Fl )have now joined in the search.
We will update as more information is released. So far no more information has been released as of 10pm.
