SEARCH ON FOR MISSING WAVERUNNER RIDER IN GULF

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies are searching in the Gulf of Mexico for a waverunner rider who disappeared around 3:30 this afternoon in waters behind Coral Reef Club Condominiums, Scenic Highway 98 in Destin.

Deputies say witnesses reported seeing the man get off the waverunner, but he never got back on. The waverunner has been retrieved and the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office, Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Coast Guard, and Fish and Wildlife representatives are involved in the search
