This week Dothan and The Wiregrass Area lost a great pillar of our community.  Former Mayor Jimmy Grant will be remembered by many as "the Mayor who started it all".   He had the vision to go global and bring jobs home for the people he cared so much for.  His vision led to many road improvements, park improvements and development of many programs to help people in Dothan.   He truly cared about making Dothan and the whole Wiregrass area a better place to live.  He accomplished much as Mayor and will will always be remembered with respect and gratitude.    He didn't stop caring about the people when he no longer served as Mayor he continued to volunteer where ever he was needed and gave so much in the past years to continue to make life better for all of us.  He was a true leader and a true friend to all those who knew him.  We will miss him and a whole is left in the Wiregrass that can never be filled.  Thank you Mayor Jimmy Grant for your legacy. Prayers being said for the Grant family and thank you all  for sharing your  husband, father and grandfather with us.  God Bless.
