The Dothan Fire Department will be hosting a community wide event on at Westgate park to raise funds and bring attention to childhood cancer in our community. This event will be a fun-filled evening with inflatables for the children, food and drinks, a “CrossFit” 5-minute Burpee Challenge, a Nighttime 5K on the Westgate Trail along with our very own (Firefighter) Josh Buckley and the Josh Buckley Band and last but not least we will have Shane Owens in concert at the event. I have attached a flyer to post, if you will. In preparation for this tremendous event, the Fire Department is selling Gold Ribbon shirts to further raise funds and awareness. Our members will be wearing the Gold Ribbon Shirts each in the month of September and encourage you to do the same!! Attached is an order form for the shirts. We will be taking pre-orders through . This allows us to ensure that we have the proper sizes and not waste potential profit on shirts we cannot sell. Please print the attached order form and return it to Fire Administration (600 Columbia Hwy), with payment no later than close of business on . Finally, I have attached a registration form for the Burpee Challenge and the 5K race. All proceeds of both projects will be donated to the Developmental Therapeutic Program at Children’s Hospital. This program supports the families dealing with this horrific disease and provides funding to the much needed research. As you may be aware, our Fire Department Family has been significantly impacted by childhood cancer. This fundraiser is our effort to support not only own, but the many many families throughout the Wiregrass that are dealing with Childhood Cancer. Your support is greatly appreciated!
