Serious Critical Edged Weapon Assault On Headland Avenue

DOTHAN:   At 9:11 AM Dothan 911 dispatched an Edged Weapon Assault at 4145 Headland Avenue in Dothan. The assault, dispatched as "serious/critical" was in reference to a domestic situation.

Multiple Dothan Police units rolled, Dothan Fire Engine 9 ( Technology Drive ) and Pilcher’s Ambulance responded.

After a few minutes on the scene Dothan Police declared the scene safe for emergency medical units to respond into the scene.

Dothan Police changed the call from an edged weapon assault to an assault in reference to a domestic call.

Dothan Fire Engine 9 cancelled Pilcher’s Ambulance response.

Dothan Police called for a criminal investigator to respond to the scene. Dothan Police CID Investigator Sgt. Jason Adkins responded to the scene.

At 9:36 AM Dothan Fire Engine 9 requested Pilcher’s Ambulance to re-respond to the scene for transport. A male patient was transported from the scene.

Dothan Police continues the investigation.

At 9:39 AM Dothan Police placed a female into custody for Domestic Violence 3rd degree.
