Sheriff Department On Street Working - To Include Sheriff Valenza

HOUSTON COUNTY:   Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza and his deputies are on the street working.


This past Friday, within a two hour period, Houston County had three people killed in traffic accidents. Two of the three were headed to board a boat for a cruise for the holidays.


Sheriff Valenza made a decision to spend his Memorial Day "on duty" on patrol with other deputies. The Sheriff Department is focusing on traffic and making the roads safe in Houston County.


The traffic on Highway 231 South reminds you of springbreak. Traffic is extremely heavy.


Sheriff Valenza and members of the department are working in conjunction with Alabama Department of Law Enforcement - Troopers. They want everyone to have a safe and great memories of this holiday.


And it started off with bad memories.
