Sheriff Department Stops Suspect In Possession Of Firearms

HOUSTON COUNTY:  Late this afternoon Houston County Sheriff Deputies stopped a suspect off Choctaw Street just inside Ross Clark Circle. Multiple Sheriff Deputies were on the scene.

Sheriff Deputies had a suspect under surveillance based on information of a person who was a convicted felon who was in possession of firearms. THe deputies had the residence under surveillance. While under surveillance Dothan Police responded to a call at the residence. When Dothan arrived the Sheriff Deputies went on to the residence.

A white male suspect was taken into custody. Sheriff Investigators were called to the scene to investigate.

At the time of the stop Sheriff Deputies were not sure of all of the details, other than a person with a felony record in possession of firearms.
