Sheriff Press Release In Reference Manhunt

On 10/10/2012 Houston County Sheriff’s Deputies and U.S. Marshals attempted to arrest  W/M Ricky Onan Faircloth 53 years old from Cottonwood Alabama. Faircloth is wanted in Long County, Georgia on Failure to Register as a Sex Offender after being convicted in Long County, Georgia on three counts of Child Molestation. Faircloth absconded from Georgia,earlier this week U.S. Marshals received information that Faircloth was living in Houston County in the Cottonwood area. Upon arrival at the residence that Faircloth was living at Faircloth was able to elude law enforcement. At this time a manhunt is on for the capture of Faircloth. The Dale County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the manhunt with Houston County and the U.S. Marshals. Faircloth id described as a W/M 6’0 tall and weighs 185 pounds. It is unknown if Faircloth is armed. If anyone has any information they need to call the Houston County Sheriff’s Office at 334-677-4808 or the U.S. Marshals Office at 334-223-5400. Faircloth is also wanted in Houston County for Possession of Marijuana in the First and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
