Sheriff Valenza Holds PRess Conference on Last Night's Murder

On January 27, 2016 at approximately 8:15 p.m. the Houston County Sheriff's Office responded to 204 Church Street Columbia, Al., in reference to an assault, connected to a cutting.


Upon the deputies arrival it was determined that the assault involved Trevon Lingo a 20 year old male of Columbia, Al. (victim) and Clifford Warren Perry a 47 year old male of Columbia, Al. (suspect).


The Houston County Sheriff's Office assisted by Webb Police Department located the suspect vehicle on Co. Rd. 33 S. at approximately 8:20 p.m. and took Clifford Warren Perry into custody.


Trevon Lingo was transported to a Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Trevon Lingo later succumbed from the stab wound.


Clifford Warren Perry was charged with Murder and is being held in the Houston County Jail with a NO BOND.


Houston county Sheriff's investigation is still ongoing.
