Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Two on Drug Charges in Marianna

On Saturday August 2, 2014, Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the residence located at 2767 Panhandle Road in reference to an agency assist with the Department of Children and Families. Deputies were advised that a complaint was received regarding narcotics being used and manufactured inside home in the presence of children.
Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with the home owner, Kevin Hobgood, and a female identified as Shon Massey. As a result of the allegations, Deputies subsequently obtained consent to search the residence from Hobgood.
During the course of the search, Deputies located a series of items consistent with the manufacture and use of Methamphetamine and other illegal narcotics. These items included various forms of drug paraphernalia used to ingest narcotics, Crack Cocaine, finished Methamphetamine, burnt spoons, used needles, and two one pot or “Shake and Bake” Methamphetamine Labs that were within the final stages of the process.
At the conclusion of the investigation, both Shon Massey and Kevin Hobgood were placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance. This incident did occur in Jackson County, Florida.
