Sheriff’s Vice Deputies Have Chase On Headland Avenue

DOTHAN: Houston County Sheriff Deputies assigned to Vice Division go to make a traffic stop around Pine Street. A chase takes place. As the chase is progressing and deputies are responding the reports are the chases is progressing at 40 MPH.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies report the suspect throws what appears to be be dope from the vehicle. Finally in the 500 block of Headland Avenue the Vice Deputies and Sheriff Patrol Lt. James Ivey get the suspect stopped.
Houston County Sheriff Deputy Robert Jenkins and Vice Deputy go back to where it looked as if the suspect threw the dope from the vehicle. They search the roadway area. Last report and final conclusion UNCONFIRMED that the dope was not found.
The suspect is reported to have a history of drugs and disorderly to law enforcement. Possible outstanding arrest warrants with the City of Dothan.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies continue to investigate.
The person erased with the white marking is a Vice undercover officer.
