Shooting in May Lands Suspect with Four More Chages of Attempted Murder

On 05-31-15 at about 0145 hours Dothan Patrol Units responded to a disorderly persons call at Seven Sisters Lounge located at 106 Columbia Hwy. When they arrived, the disorderly crowd began dispersing. Several officers were standing at the side of one of the patrol cars when 3 to 5 gunshots rang out. One of the bullets struck the right front passenger door of the patrol car narrowly missing the officers.
As a result of the investigation the suspect has been identified as b/m 22 year old Jalyn Rashad Salter of Newville, Alabama. Salter has been charged with three counts of Attempted Murder and is being held on a $750,000 bond.
****UPDATE****
On June 19, 2015 as the result of a continued investigation, Investigators with the Dothan Police Department have charged Jalyn Rashad Salter with four additional counts of Attempted Murder. Investigators say they were able to identify four additional victims that were in the immediate line of fire at the time of the shooting. Salter continues to be held in the Houston County Jail. Salter's bond for the four additional counts has been set at $1,000,000.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
